On behalf of the members of Branch 1280 National Association of Letter Carriers, I would like to welcome you to our web site. Our parent organization, the National Association of Letter Carriers, was founded in 1889 and is a Union of city delivery carriers working for the U.S. Postal Service.
History. . .
San Mateo Branch 1280 was Chartered March 20, 1909. The San Mateo Branch merged first with Branch 6508 Half Moon Bay early in 1980. This merger was quickly followed with the mergers of Branch 1767 Burlingame, Branch 3529 San Bruno, Branch 4172 Millbrae, Branch 4732 Pacifica and South San Francisco. Branch 4608 Newark merged with San Mateo in 1997 and Branch 6264 Brisbane merged in 2006.
